At the Palliative Care Unit of Prince County Hospital Summerside on Saturday Feb. 26, 2011 of James A. Brander Jr. of New London aged 68 years. Born in French River on March 2, 1942 son of the late James A. and Della (Matheson) Brander. Husband of Sheila (Somers) Brander. Father of Tyler Brander (Jessica Doherty), Kensington; Paul Brander, New London; Darren (Paula) Brander, Elmsdale and Susan (Jeff) Murphy, Sea View. Grandfather of Andrew, Chantelle and Abby. Brother of William and Wallace Brander both of Kensington; June (Lloyde) Hickox, Pleasant Valley; Fannie (Hillis) Dawson, Selmon Park, Donna (Danny) Noble, Summerside and Grace Breau, Miramichi, N.B. Brother-in-law of Roma (Herman) Cole MacLeod, New London; Margaret (Herbie) Paynter, Kensington; Phyllis Thibeau, Kensington and Walter (Wallie) Cole, Kensington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Cynthia Lynn (Hutt) Brander, father-in-law and mother-in-law Harry and Alba Somers, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Billy Thibeau, Dawson Cole, Lois Cole, Janie (Willard) Cole, Shirley (Peters) Brander, Anna Marie and Harry Ralph Somers Jr. in infancy. And nephew Christopher Brander. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington for visitation on Monday from 3-6 p.m. Funeral Tuesday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in New London People’s Cemetery.
