Wilhemina Jewer, in her 94th year, passed away at the Bonavista Peninsula Health Care Centre on February 22nd, 2011. She leaves her children, Jack (Wavey), Percy, Hilda (George) and Danny; her grandchildren, Lana (Derek), Helen and Sam; her great grandchildren, Krista (Gary), Stephanie (Steven), Brandon and Philip; her great great grandchildren, Abbey and Nathan; her sister, Hilda Best; her sister-in-law, Beatrice Roberts, and her brother-in-law, Clifton Jewer. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Frederick Jewer, on December 20th, 2009; her daughter-in-law, Hazel, and two grandchildren, Freddy and Jacqueline. Also predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Alice Roberts; her brothers, Jack (Leah), Herman (Victoria), Harry, Baby George, Gordon (Dorothy) and Allister; her sisters, Ethel (Garland), Mary (Eli), Lucy (Roland), Margaret and Katherine (Arthur); her brother-in-law, Edgar (Effie) and her sister-in-law, Rose. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews and their children and grandchildren; by Ross Abbot, close family friend, and by many other relatives and friends throughout Newfoundland. She was resting at the Botwood Funeral Home where visitation took place on Thursday, February 24th, 2011, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Her funeral took place from Jubilee Pentecostal Temple on Friday, February 25th, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Pastors F. Roberts and R. Lodge officiating. Donations in her memory were made to the Living Memorial Fund for “Village of Hope”. Funeral Arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.
