It is with great sadness that the families of the late Clarence Barrett Parsons announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term facility D.V.A unit, in Corner Brook on Saturday, February 26th, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife; Annie nee Baker, his sons; Richard (Cathy) of Deer Lake, Clarence Jr (Ann) of Pasadena, Roy (Ruth) of Grandfalls/Windsor, Glenn (Debbie) of P.E.I and Cordell (Pam) of Pasadena, his daughters; Jean (Zak Sheikh) of Ottawa, Barbara (Ern Bridger) of Deer Lake, Frances (Rick Papiernik) of Ottawa, & Grace (James Knight) of Brentford, his 22 grandchildren; Nagia, Ayesha, Salma, Sonya, Kim, Melanie, Diana, Patti-Sue, Trevor, Stephanie, Neil, Trina, Andrea, Vanessa, Maria, Tony, Vicki, Heather, Grant, Jenny, & Amanda. His 7 great grandchildren; Emily, Bella Robbie, John-Thomas, Scott, Joshua & Evan. His brother; Jim Smith of New Market, His sisters; Rowena (Otto Peach), Rebecca Williams, Lilly Best all of Arnold’s Cove & Evelyn Stratton of Montreal, Sister in Law; Olive Barret of Paradise, Daughters in law; Donna Park, Sandra Parsons, & Diane Parsons. Special Friends; Eddy ( Carol Ann & Family), Sol (Trish Lake) & Emily Pardy. Clarence was predeceased by his son Tony Parsons, Paternal father & Mother; Alexander Barrett, & Minnie Crocker, his parents; Ambrose Parsons & Drucella nee Gilbert, his brother Reginald Barrett, & uncle; Cassie Gilbert. Also remembered by many nieces, nephews, other relatives’ family & friends. Mr. Clarence Barrett Parsons served in the Second World War in the Forestry Unit 1940, & then in the Royal Navy 1941. The family will be receiving family and friends at the Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena, Today, Monday, February 28th 2011 from the hours of 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. Where also the Funeral Service will take place from on Tuesday, March 1st, 2011 at 2 pm with Rev: Andrew Wright officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery in Pasadena. In liew of flowers donation can be made to the Humber Valley United Church Pasadena, P.O Box 278. Pasadena, NL. A0L 1K0, In Clarence’s memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.
