KEIRSTEAD, Judith “Judy” Helen Spears —78, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on July 28, 1932 in Montreal, she was a daughter of the late Gordon Hunter and Muriel Spears (Cooper) Walker. Surviving are her children, Christopher “Kit” Keirstead, Brooklyn, Hants County; Candace (Daniel) Dion, Halifax; Kristin Keirstead, Halifax; Kurt Keirstead, Edmonton, Alberta; Carol Ann Dill (Paul Mensch) Ellershouse; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, William Gordon Walker, Alabama. She was predeceased by her husband Major Gordon Richard “Dick” Keirstead (2008). Cremation was under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. There was no visitation or service by request. Donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the Hants County SPCA.
