Irene Bastarache, 65, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Moncton Hospital. Born on April 13, 1945 in Stoney Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Henri A. and Catherine (LeBlanc) Bastarache. She is survived by four sisters: Doris Gallant (Léo-Paul) of St-Philippe, Stella Surette (Omer) of Moncton, Jeanne Bastarache (Joseph) and Lorraine Melanson (Roger), both of Dieppe; three brothers: George of Shediac, Jean and Albert, both of Moncton, and several nieces and nephews.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Irene, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
