Antoinette ‘Toni’ MacInnis

Born In: Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada

Passed in: Steele's Hill, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada
Passed on: February 27th, 2011

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Antoinette ‘Toni’ MacInnis on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at the Glace Bay Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Kate (Chisholm) Stanley.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church. She worked for CARA Operations (airport) for a number of years and retired from the Breton Bay Nursing Home. She enjoyed sharing her love of cooking and baking with her family, friends and the St. Ann Sodality Ladies Auxiliary — which she held very dear to her heart. Toni will be sadly missed by so many friends that loved her dearly; she enjoyed every moment she spent at the 45s table; her Saturday nite ‘bunkino’; not to forget the trips to the Casino.
Left to mourn is her daughter, Susan (Joss); sons, Johnny and Stevie (Cathy); brother, Cletus (Mary) Stanley; sister, Emily (Leo) Landry; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, John ‘Geezer’, daughter, Betty, brothers, Leo, Edgar, Normie, Alex, Frankie, and Herbie, sisters, Anna, Marjorie, Alice and Madaline.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Curry’s Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held Friday, 11 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating.
Memorial donations to Palliative Care or charity of choice would be appreciated.
