Peacefully at the Western Hospital, Alberton with his family by his side, on Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, of Joseph Terrance Perry of 235 Philip St., Tignish aged 92 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Loving husband of Rita (nee Poirier) Perry. Born on Feb. 24, 1919, he was the son of the late William T. and Evelyn (nee Perry) Perry. Dear father to John E. (Arlene) Perry of Clinton, P.E.I. and Carol Anne Wright (Nicholas Koskolos) of Shad Bay, N.S. He will be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren and by his 14 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Ida Murphy of Natick, Mass., and Mildred Custance of Edinboro, Penn. He was predeceased by a son Terrance as well as a sister Doris (late Fred) Smith, and by brothers Russell (late Rosetta) and Elmer (late Doris) Slavin. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Friday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish for funeral mass at 3 p.m. Interment later in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated.The members from the Tignish Branch #6 of the Royal Canadian will hold a service of remembrance at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m.
