89, St. John’s, NL. Passed away Monday, February 28, 2011, at St. Clare’s Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband Don and brother John A. Young. She grew up in Dartmouth, N.S. A graduate of both Acadia and Dalhousie. She met her husband Don and moved to St. John’s in 1957. She was a life time member of West End Baptist Church and a Dominion Life Member of Women’s Missionary Society. Jean and Don were avid worldwide travelers and loved to entertain at home and their summer place. Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to all. Her smile, sense of humor and kind gracious spirit will be missed. Survived by sons: George Wilson (Joyce), Perth, Australia, Jim Wilson (Michele), Windsor, NS; daughters: Nancy Wilson Voegeli (Fred), Bayside, NS, Joan Pike (Greg), Steady Brook, NL and grandchildren: Nancy, Mark, Drew, David, Leanne, Jonathon, Rebecca, Alison, Kelly, Heather, Derek, Tracy; three nephews: John, Bill and Bob; special “sons’ Bill Wilson and Bob Noseworthy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the West End Baptist Church, 314 Topsail Road on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. No flowers by request.
