Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Sunday, February 27, 2011 James Howell age 85 years of Badger’s Quay. Predeceased by his parents Gertrude and Nathan Howell; brothers Wilson and Leonard; sister Lucy Hunt; brothers-in-law Herbert Hunt, Douglas Jackman and sister-in-law Effie Howell. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife; Amelia, sons; David Blackwood of Gander, Paul (Joanne) of Badger’s Quay, Roger (Dawn) of Grand Prairie, daughters; Effie (Berkley Legrow) of Mount Pearl, Sherry (Roy King) of Badger’s Quay, Elizabeth (Guy Anstey) of Wesleyville, Alwyn (Glenn Stagg) of Wesleyville, brothers; Samuel Howell of Badger’s Quay, Esau Howell (Rowena) of Badger’s Quay, sister; Shirley Jackman of St. John’s, sisters-in-law; Beulah Howell of Jamestown, NL, Joan Howell of Gander, 22 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and many friends. Funeral service was held on March 2, 2011 at the United Church, Valleyfield with Rev. Brian Hannon officiating. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Valleyfield.
