It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Raymond Ryan announce his passing February, 26th 2011 at the Thompson General Hospital at the age of 69 years. Raymond will be missed greatly not only by his family but also all the residents, caregivers and staff of the Northern Spirit Manor Personal Care Home. Raymond was a quiet simple man with a sense of humour known to all who cared for him. He could also be known for his impatience and “do it for me now” personality as his caregivers would attest to. These are just a few traits he was loved for and will be missed for in the lives of the people he touched. Raymond leaves to mourn his passing his daughters: Judy (Cliff), Rosemary (Clifford); sons: Gerard (Bonnie), Ron (Barb), Kevin (Sheri), and Raymond (Laurie); grandchildren: Trent, Trevor, Tammy, Crystal, Kelly, Jennifer, Nerissa, Melissa, Mandy, Becky, Burnell, Jayden, Precious, Jordan, Emily, Alex, Dillan and Wesley; and 7 great-grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his passing his 2 sisters: Sade (John – deceased), and Bridget (Pete); 2 brothers: Billy (Joan) and Leo (Carolyn). Special friend Janet Mercer of Newfoundland and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and close friends. Raymond was predeceased by his dear wife Regina (1994) and son Johnny (1987); grandson Bradley (2002). Raymond was also predeceased by parents John and Mary Ann Ryan (Rose) and sister Mon and her husband John Foley. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday, March 3rd from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday, March 4th from 10 a.m. – 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Patrick’s Church on Saturday, March 5th, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or the Janeway Hospital.
