Passed away February 26, 2011 surrounded by family. Born March 9, 1916 in Gladmar, Sask. to Heskin and Vesta Slater. Was married June 22, 1933 to Geoffrey Wright in Vancouver, B.C.

Geoff and Marie lived in various communities through B.C., raising five children and cultivating many friends. Marie was very active in the Rebekah Lodge and also loved her bowling. Marie was an avid cribbage player, always ready with cards in her hand when you went to visit. Her last residence was at Parkside Estates. She was a friend to many of the residents as well as staff. She will be missed.

She was predeceased by Geoff, her loving husband of 69 plus years; her parents; brothers Floyd, Mike and Clyde; sisters Margaret, Ruth and Alta; and daughter Norma LeFrancois.

She is survived by Margaret (Frank) Pelle, Maralyn (Ron) Clark, Ronald (Rita) Wright, and Kenneth (Lene) Wright, two brothers, one sister, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at St. Andrew's All Saints United Church on Thompson & Coburn in Chase on Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Norma LeFrancois.
