TRENTON – Anne Ross Pace (Creelman), 93, of Trenton, died on Sunday, July 12, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Princeport, Colchester County, in 1916, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Susan (Ross) Creelman.
The family moved to Pleasant Valley, Pictou County, where she married Robie Mark Pace of Trenton, who predeceased her in 1982. She was a member of the LOBA, United Church Women (Mary Unit), Steeltown Friendly Seniors Group, a Red Cross volunteer and was an active member of First United Church, Trenton. She was a very special mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to us all and we love her deeply. She maintained her interest in people, public life and her community until the end.
She is survived by sister, Ada, Ontario; sons, Donald Creelman, New Glasgow; Leonard Pace (Judy Conrad), Shelburne; daughters, Joyce Stothers, Ottawa; Marilyn Rector, Truro; Phyllis Chapman (Ralph), London, Ont.; grandchildren: Tony Pace (Yi Fung Cheng), Taiwan; Jacqueline Stothers (Gord Brooks) and Simone Stothers, both of Toronto; Bruce Patrick and Christopher Chapman, London, Ont.; Kristen Rector (Bill Chernin), Halifax; Geoff Rector (Denise Logan), Ottawa; step-granddaughter, Andrea Saulnier (Kendall), of Shelburne; six great-grandchildren: Gabriel Logan and Isaac Rector, Ottawa; Ariel and Zack Brooks, Toronto; Georgia and Eliza Chernin, Halifax; and two step-great-grandchildren, Fraser and Megan Saulnier, Shelburne.
Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at R.H. Porter Funeral Home in Trenton. Funeral service at First United Church on Wednesday, July 15, at 2 p.m., with Fergie MacKay officiating. Following the service, the family invites you to join them at a reception at First United Church Hall. Interment at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
