THERESE DETILLIEUX
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother after complications following surgery. Therese passed away peacefully on July 12, 2009 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon at the age of 81 years with her family at her side. She was born July 9, 1928 in Bellevue, SK and married Joseph Detillieux in 1947. They farmed in Hoey, SK and raised 11 children. They retired to Prince Albert in 1977. Therese was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Ida Gauthier, her husband Joseph, daughter Jeanette, sons Francis and Joseph, her brothers Adelard and Rene, her son-in-law Paul and daughter-in-law Rita. She is survived by her children: Louis (Bridget) Detillieux, Genny (Lionel) Branger, Simone (Todd Fowler) Robinson, Celine (Wayne) Major, Margo (Jim) Malec, Suzanne (Jeff) Surtees, Ali Detillieux, Robby Detillieux, 21 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her sister Aldea Detillieux. Therese was a warm, loving person and touched many lives. She will be remembered and missed by all for her love of life and great sense of humor. The Funeral Mass for Therese will be on Friday, July 17th at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 - 4th Ave. W. in Prince Albert. Family and friends are invited to a memorial luncheon in the Cathedral Hall following the mass. Memorial donations may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Arrangements in care of MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (934-4888).
