The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Saturday, March 5, 2011, surrounded by the loving family of Alycia MacAulay of St. Peters Bay and formerly of Cable Head East, in her 97th year.
Special mother to Leonard MacKinnon (Audrey), loving grandmother to Anita (Sidney MacEwen) and dear great-grandmother to Cassidy MacInnis and Rylan and Mason MacEwen. Fondly remembered by special nieces, Tena Wilson and Bea MacAulay, grandnieces, Gail (John) Coughlin and Lois MacAulay and great-grandnieces and nephews, Amy Carter (John), Robbie, Craig Mederios, Colin, Olivia, Todd, John and Adrianna Carter.
Predeceased by husband, Aeneas MacAulay, dear grandson, Michael MacKinnon, parents, Vincent and Mary Ellen Sutherland, sisters, Mamie, Jennie and Evelyn; foster brother, Joseph Sutherland; also special friend and sister-in-law, Maude Gillis; brothers-in-law, Leo, Leonard and Lawrence MacAulay.
Resting at the Dr. Roddie Community Center in St. Peters for visiting hours on Monday, March 7, 2011, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Tuesday morning to St. Peters Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
