Mary Eva Lock (1925-2011)
Mary E. Lock passed away peacefully at Gables Lodge in Amherst, NS on Sunday March 6, 2011, in her 87th year. She is survived by her son Alan Richard Lock and his wife Donna of Rothesay, NB, grandson Bevan and his wife Kirstin of West Bay, NS, and their children Findlay and Janine, granddaughter Elizabeth and her husband Jean–Pierre Martel of Dieppe, NB, and their children Marie-Elise and Marc-Andre, granddaughter Amy and her husband John Ruff of Ottawa, ON, and their children Lauren and Scott, and grandson Blair of Chicago, USA.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard William Lock, mother and father, George and Elsie Trask, brothers Robert and Wallace and sister Lois.
She will be greatly missed by devoted family members, Margaret (David) Bland, Dorothy Halliday, Muriel Moore, Jeannie Allen, Charles (Barbara) Trask, sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth Trask, brother-in-law “Ted” Albert Edwin (Eileen) Lock, sister-in-law Dorothy Lock along with many nieces, nephews and a wide circle of dear friends.
She will be remembered for her courage, strength and caring ways. Her devotion and dedication to her family was foremost in her life and this treasured legacy will provide an enduring comfort to her family.
There will be no formal visitation. We welcome you to a celebration of her life at a memorial service to be held at Trinity St. Stephen’s Church in Amherst, NS at 11am on Saturday March 12, 2011. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of your choice
