MOYST, Herbert Augustine – Passed suddenly away at his residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, Herbert Moyst aged 72 years. Predeceased by parents: Catherine and Chesley Moyst; sisters: Anne Marie, Eileen, Jean and Maureen. Leaving to mourn are sons: Paul, Kurt and their mother Alice; brother David; sister Sheila O’Neill; special nephew Matthew (Alana); as well as many other great-nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Herb grew up on Hamilton Ave. and was a student of Holy Cross School. He was proud to work in the pharmacy at LeMarchant Drugs on Campbell Ave. He spent his days walking around Mundy Pond with his sister Eileen and shopping with her at the Avalon Mall which he continued long after she passed away. His children Paul and Kurt were a source of great pride to him. He loved them dearly. Herb was also a foster parent to a foster child in Ethiopia. He was a gentle, quiet and loving man who will be missed by all who knew him. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cremation will follow visitation. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
