AGNES HAY
CARD OF THANKS
“Agnes (MacLeod) Hay”
The entire family of Agnes Hay have been so moved by the outpouring of love and compassion during her recent passing. The recalling of happy times down “Memory Lane” from 4 Cameron, Reserve Mines and Mira brought such comfort and consolation to all of us. This most dear free-spirited, religious, compassionate and very humorous lady known as “Ag” more fondly by family and close friends, will live forever in all hearts. To say thank you would not suffice, as it is virtually impossible to thank you all individually, who gave so freely and kindly of your time. To her “Guardian Angels” for serving us all at our time of sorrow with very tasty meals provided by our dear, kind, loving neighbors and friends. We thank you all for care giving, gifts of food, telephone calls, e-mails, sympathy and Mass cards, donations to Newsom, monetary gifts, beautiful floral tributes and a tree planted in Israel in her memory. Agnes reaped “a bountiful harvest” from the seeds sown in her 97 years, by all of you, who paid tribute to her. How very comforting! We, the Hay family, offer our sincere thanks on Agnes’s behalf to Rev. Michael Goodfellow, Newsom Church, Rev. Dr. John Finlayson, Knox United Church, organist Lynn Rosta, soloists Judy MacLeod “Creation will be at Peace” Roy Rideout “Jesus on the Shoreline” her favorite Anthems. Hymns “Unto the Hills”, “In the Garden” and “Softly and Tenderly” sung with love by Newsom Choir. To her son-in-law Al Redding for a eulogy delivered with much love and humour. T o Charlie and Ethel Campbell for her favorite Biblical readings Psalm 4 and Corintheans 1-13. To grand and great grandchildren who travelled from N.B. to say farewell to “Nana Hay” in inclement weather. Our sincere thanks to so many in the medical profession over the years, Dr. David Ley and staff, Yolanda D’Intino, special thanks to Abdhel Atiyah (her sweetie) and Rose his secretary, nursing staff 3rd floor NewWaterford Consolidated and Glace Bay. Thank you to palliative care and Dr. Mark Ellerker for granting her a peaceful passing. To the ladies of her favorite “Little Church” U.C.W. for the tasty luncheon prepared at such short notice. To the staff of V.J. McGllivray Funeral Homes our sorrow, coupled with decision making was addressed immediately with the very caring, professional and compassionate help of Rita Tompkins, Basil McGillivray, Kenny and staff, our heartfelt thanks. To each and everyone of you who loved our precious “Mama”, Tom (Buddy) and Jean, Nina (Al), Art (Cheryl) and families, Jean Anne thank you all with most grateful hearts.
