1922 - 2011 - Emery Doiron died of pneumonia at the age of 88 on Sunday, March 6th, 2011 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton. Born in Rogersville, NB son of the late Dominique and Florine (Richard) Doiron. Emery was residing at the Veteran's Health Center, having served overseas during WWII. He was also predeceased by his step-mother Aurélie (Cormier), infant brother Benoit, his sister Julia McGraw, his wife Esther (Hicks-Curwin), sons Éric and baby Paul. He retired from Canada Post after serving for 31 years. He is survived by sisters Theresa Muzzerall, Shirley (Éric) Albert, sons Robert (Monique), Benoit (Elsie), Richard (Annette), daughter-in-law Linda and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In keeping with Emery’s wishes cremation has taken place, Funeral Service at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 11a.m. with Father Paul Breau Officiating. A legion service will be held at the funeral home chapel at 10:50am on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Burial to follow at Steeves Settlement Cemetery in the spring with his beloved wife Esther. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association or to the donor's choice.
