Passed away peacefully at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital on Monday, March 7th, 2011 with his family by his side. Wally, at the age of 81, predeceased by his wife Leah, (2002). Loving father of Vernon (Debbie) and Ashley, cherished grandfather of Kerri, Connor, Jennifer, Dustin, Jaxson and Pyper. He will be missed by his brother Ronald (Marge) and by his sister Norma Dalphie. He is predeceased by 2 sisters and by his parents. Wally was born on June 17th, 1929 to Donald and Violet MacDonald and raised on the family farm near Hardy, SK. He attended a small country school near Hardy but joined the Army just at the end of WWII. He followed a life-long career in the R.C.A.F., ultimately the Canadian Forces retiring from CFB Moose Jaw in 1979 after a 31 year career. Wally loved horses and was an avid horseman. He enjoyed many years of trail rides and when it became difficult for him to ride, he acquired a chuck wagon. He enjoyed playing cards with friends and family.
