Alma Ellen Wallace passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at the Gull Lake Special Care Home with family by her side. Besides her loving husband Harold, she is survived by her children, Walter (Evelyn), Joan (Karl), Ruth (Cecil); grandchildren, Dan (Tasha), Rodney (Shannon), Candice (Ray), Denise, Dennis (Michelle), 17 great grandchildren; brother Bob (Joyce), twin brother Allan (Nina) and numerous nieces and nephews. Alma was born to Rob and Mary Wallace August 28, 1925. She grew up on the family farm at Golden Stream, Manitoba. Harold and Alma were married on the family farm March 23, 1946. They both enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with their family. She was predeceased by her parents Rob and Mary Wallace, sister Lela Hillman, and brother Wendell Wallace. Her smile will be missed by all. The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the Gull Lake Knox United Church, Gull Lake, SK, with Pastor Gordon Willison and Rev. Bonita Chad officiating. The pianist was Millie Spagrud with Sharon Dahl as the organist. The Hymns sung by the congregation were, “Old Rugged Cross” and “In The Garden”. Scripture Readings were; Ruth 1: 15-18 and John 14: 1-4 with a Responsive reading of Psalm 23. The Eulogy was brought by Ray Choy and Denise Anderson. Ushers were Dennis Jones and Ken Reed. In memory of Alma Lobban, donations made to the MS Society and the Gull Lake Special Care Home Auxiliary would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were in care of the Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK.
