LAWRENCE EDWARD VIALA
March 26, 1931 – March 7, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Viala. Lawrence is survived by Ann, his loving wife of 58 years; his children David (Jeannine), Diane (Ron), Judy and Paul (Cheryl); his grandchildren Davey (Kim), Michelle (Jason), Mark, Jeffrey (Krista), Scott (Chantelle), Kevin, Chris, Annie, Dagan and great-grandchildren Tyrell, Dillan Lance, Nathan, Troy, Nicole and Rebecca; his brother Ken (Phyllis) and sister Laura. He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Georgegina. Lawrence was born and raised in Prince Albert, where he met and married Ann Folk in 1952. He had a very successful career of 33 years with CN Rail, which included moves to The Pas, Fort Frances, Melville and Regina. When Lawrence and Ann retired they fulfilled their dream of building on their acreage outside of Prince Albert. Lawrence was extremely active and involved in the community. He took pride in his time spent as Reeve of Buckland, with Big Brothers, Toastmasters, Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Parish, Catholic School Board, Buckland Fire Dept. and the Weyakwin Cabin Association. Lawrence will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Homecare Nurses especially Michelle Street and Agatha Neufeld. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca.
