Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen's Home, Carbonear on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, Betty Wiseman (nee Power) of Harbour Grace, formerly of South Wales, UK, age 89 years. Predeceased by husband: Edgar; daughter: Gloria; son-in-law: Ernest F. Allen Jr.; brothers: Frederick John and Albert; sisters: Molly, Margaret, Winnie and Joan. Leaving to mourn, one daughter: Diane Allen, Wareham, Massachusetts, USA; one son: Robert (Alison), London, ON; son-in-law: Douglas Smith, St. John’s; nine grandchildren: Jonathan (Debbie), Jason, Matthew, Darryl, Christine (Ryan), Stephanie, Heather (Kevin), Carlene and James; five great-grandchildren: Ryan, Kyle, Nathan, Daniel and Nora; sisters-in-law: Helen Noseworthy and Olive Andrews, both of St. John’s and Eleanor (James) Currenn, Ontario; brother-in-law: Robert Cole, St. John’s; also a large number of other relatives and friends.
