It is with great sadness that the family of the late GEORGE S. EDWARDS of Marystown announces his passing at his home in Marystown on Sunday February 20, 2011 at the age of 60. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Wife Evelyn of 11 years; Sons Timmy (Julie) of St. John’s, Louie of Marystown, Ryan (Jennifer) of St. John’s, and William of Marystown; Daughters Cathy Edwards (Mark) of Gander, and Glenda Edwards (Curtis Miller) of Marystown; Sisters Lucinda (Steve) Cole of Tennessee, Effie (Kenneth) Walsh of Marystown, and Ann Marie (Jerry) Squires of St. John’s; Brothers Glen (Stella) of Fortune, Tom (Margaret) of Fortune, Pete of Marystown, Gerard (Mona) of Deer Lake, and Brendan; 12 Grandchildren Christian, Cara, Johnathan, Brandon, Andrew, Tyler, Stephen, Cameron, Faith, Katherine, Emily, and Samatha; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Parents George & Sylvia Edwards, Daughter Peggy Edwards, and Aunt Deborah Edwards.
Funeral Mass took place on Wednesday February 23, 2011 at 11:00am from Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Marystown. Interment followed at the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Marystown. In George’s memory, donations may be made to the Edwards Family or flowers gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Wiseman’s Funeral Homes.
