1926 - 2011 - Ronald Roy Whittaker passed away peacefully at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on March 9th, 2011 at the age of 85. Born in Saint John, NB he was the son of the late Chester and Winnifred (Colwell) Whittaker. Before his retirement in 1984 Ron was a Senior Marketing Representative in Moncton for Shell Oil. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, oil painting and travelling with his beloved wife Ann (Mollins, predeceased). He was a member of the West Lane Baptist Church, a member of the Probus Club, UCT and a volunteer at the Moncton Food Bank. Ron will be sadly missed by his children Ron (Ingrid), David (Bonnie), Kim MacIsaac, Mike (Cindy) and Beth Tingley (Dwayne) all presently residing in Moncton. Also by his grandchildren Rhonda, Peter, and David Whittaker, Devon and Lauren Whittaker, Matthew, Jake and Danny MacIsaac, Zack and Lindsay Whittaker and Brendan and Robyn Tingley. He will also be missed by his special friend Ethel Lutes and also his good friend Robert Burke. The Whittaker family would like to thank the staff at Spencer’s for the kindness and consideration shown to Ron during his stay there.
Visitation will take place at the Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2pm with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
