The peaceful passing of Lila Mae Lowerison age 89 of Amherst and formerly of Halifax occurred Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Gables Lodge, Amherst.

Born in Mt. Whatley, NB on April 13, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Mary (Ogden) Buck.

She will be sadly missed by her three nephews, Brian (Dora) Hargreaves, Stephen (Cindy) Hargreaves and Neil (Varlene) Hargreaves their families all of Amherst as well as her many friends who have played a significant part in her life.

Lila was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, sister Catherine Hargreaves and brothers Harold and Everett.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Sunday at Atlantic Funeral Home 6552 Bayers Road, Halifax.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 11 am from the New Testament Baptist Church, 20 Ashdale Ave., Halifax with Pastor Parrett officiating.

Interment will take place at a later date in the Amherst Cemetery.
