Passed peacefully away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at St. Patrick‘s Mercy Home, Francis Joseph Whelan, aged 56 years. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Frances. Left with fond and loving memories are daughter Rebecca Friedman; sister Nora Savoury (Gord); nephew Derek (Natasha) and niece Kaitlyn; special care-givers: Georgina and Sharon Earle and their families who remained at his side until the end. as well as a large circle of friends from the Bible Gospel Hall. Special thanks to the staff of St. Patrick's Mercy Home (1st floor) for the kindness and compassion give to Frank during his short stay there. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, July 14th. and Wednesday, July 15th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Thursday, July 16th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
