Passed peacefully away at his residence on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, J. Gerald Winsor in his 86th year. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories of 61 years, his wife Irene; his two sons: Craig (Suzanne) and Paul (Eileen); two grandchildren: Jade and Robin; sister Ethelwynne King (Vancouver); brother Carl (Margaret of St. John’s); sisters-in-law: Velma Winsor (Saint John, N.B.), Sylvia Winsor (Toronto), Beryl Grace (Flatrock) and Doreen (Joe) Yusiewicz of New Jersey; a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; also a long time family friend Elizabeth Hiscock. At Gerald’s request cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A service of thanksgiving to be held on Friday, July 17, 2009, at 2:30 p.m. from Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue. A family interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gerald’s memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
