Nickerson, Lillian, 92 passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Villa Acadienne, Meteghan, formerly of Clam Point. Born December 15, 1918 in Weaver Settlement, North Weymouth, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Lottie (Comeau) Amirault. She will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Peggy, Kentville, Patricia (Nelson), Stoney Island and Judi (Leonard), Victoria, BC, also by grandchildren, which were her pride and joy, Tim (Tammy), Ann (Richard), Chris (Jill), Patrick (Maureen), Jeffery (Aimee), Mathew (Tracy), Stephanie (Jason); and 10 great grandchildren. Lillian was a member of the St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Kentville and St. Philip’s Roman Catholic Church, Barrington Passage and Catholic Woman’s League. She enjoyed working with mentally handicapped children, she was an avid bowler and was well known for her beautiful needle points. She very much loved travelling and going for drives. She loved the Villa Acadienne and all the wonderful staff there; the staff loved her as well. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Havelock James Nickerson and special friend Gerald Crowell; 6 brothers and 2 sisters. Prayers were held Friday, February 25 at Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Barrington Passage. The funeral mass was held on Saturday, February 26 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Barrington Passage; Father Pat O’Meara officiated.
