PENNEY, Clayton Wayne, 56, Upper Clyde, Shelburne County passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, February 28, 2011 surrounded by his family and friends. Born at Clark’s Harbour, he was a son of Milton Penney, Roseway Manor, Shelburne and the late Margaret (Atwood) Penney. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the Barrington Area Lions Club and the Shelburne Lions Club and member of the Shelburne County ATV Association. During his life, he was a fisherman, Lighthouse keeper, member of the Canadian Coast Guard. He was an avid camper, worked on fishing gear as a hobby and spent a lot of time at it; he was a self taught carpenter. He always had time for the little things. He enjoyed spending time at the rink watching his grandson play hockey. His grandchildren loved his four wheeler. He is survived by his wife, the former Amber Nickerson; son, Stacey (Amy), Halifax; daughter, Marina (Joey) Williams, Port Clyde; brothers, Paul Penney (Annette), Ronald Newell (Valerie), Clark’s Harbour, Greg Newell (Cora), Clyde River; sister, Paulette (Newell) MacLean, Barrington; grandchildren, Dylan, Kaydence, Maggie, Abigail, Jacob. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by a brother, Joel. The funeral service was held on Thursday, March 3, 2011 from the H. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Barrington, Rev.
