Christopher Kenneth MacKenzie, 95, passed away July 14, 2009, in Alderwood Rest Home, Baddeck.
Born in Baddeck Bay, he was the son of the late Fraser and Margaret (Matheson) MacKenzie. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Mark’s Lodge.
He is survived by sons, Colin, Halifax; daughters, Ellen (Greg McLennan), Big Baddeck; brothers, Rindress (Gavina) MacKenzie, Fraser MacKenzie; grandchildren, Chris, Robin and Allie McLennan; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by wife, the former Anna Nicholson, brothers, Sandy, Hector, Raymond, sisters, Mary Crowdis and Ruth MacFarlane.
The body is resting in MacAskills Funeral Home, Baddeck, with visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2009, in Knox Presbyterian Church, Baddeck, Rev. Cameron Brett officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Baddeck Forks.
