Douglas Earl Rockola, 88, of Halifax passed away July 15, 2009, at home. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late John and Maude (Warnell) Rockola. Douglas is survived by his son, James (Deborah) of Halifax, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 29 years, Geraldine, and sister, Eva Smith. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home. A private graveside service will take place at a later date.
