It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie McFarlane announce her death at Thomas Hall, on March 13. Marjorie was born to Jeremiah and Beatrice (Black) Fowler in Holtville, NB on February 19th, 1920. In addition to her husband of 66 years, Howard, Marjorie leaves behind her sons, Dr. Philip (Sheila) of Houlton, Maine, Rev. Murray (Ruth), of Holtville, NB Gordon (Valerie) of Lethbridge, AB and daughter, Mary (the late John Kavanagh) of Kentville, NS as well as 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was proud of them all. She delighted in her family above all else and her house has always been a gathering place and a home base where she offered her special blend of love, encouragement, story-telling and refreshment.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Wednesday, March 16 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The memorial service will be held at Wilmot United Church at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 17 with the Rev. Don MacDougall officiating.
