May 1970 - June 2009. Passed away tragically on Monday, June 1, 2009, on Bell Island, age 39. Predeceased by his mother Loretta Fleming (Penny) 1998, father Michael Whalen (Sr.) 2006, special friend Billy Doyle (June 1, 2009). Leaving to mourn his loving wife Judy and very precious son Justin, whom he loved very much; four sisters: Marg (Ed), Rose (Gary), Lynn (Brian) on Bell Island and Sandra (Jerry), Ontario; four brothers: George (Sheila), Jakey (Darlene), Bobby (Christine), Bell Island and Dale (Kate), Cambridge, Ont.; step-father Jake Parsons (Carmel); brother-in-law Gary Lewis (Nancy), Sandy Crosbie and family; father-in-law Jim Lewis; mother-in-law Judy Keough (Bren); special Buddies: Glen Parsons, Paul Hickey, Paul King; also a large circle of family members and friends too numerous to mention. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home on Friday, July 17th, Saturday, July 18th, Sunday, July 19th, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, July 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island.
