At the South Shore Villa, Crapaud on Sunday, March 13, 2011, of Mrs. Hazel MacDonald, nee Noonan, formerly of Borden-Carleton, age 88 years. Wife of the late William MacDonald. Hazel was born on Sept. 25, 1922, to her late parents Jeremiah Noonan and Mary Ann Hagan (Noonan). Mother of Vernon, Central Bedeque; Lloyd (Dianne), Borden-Carleton; Mary, Borden-Carleton; and Coleen (Alan) Rogers, Borden-Carleton. Sister of Ruth Noonan, Halifax. Also survived by daughters-in-law Erma (late Joe) MacDonald, Corner Brook, NFLD, and Patti (late Gerald Dunnville), Ontario; grandchildren Dean (MJ), Tammy (Troy), Leslie (Daniel), Troy (Bobbi), Jackie (Doug), Cherisse (Wade) and Ashtin, as well as 13 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Lyn MacDonald, sons, Joseph and Gerald, sisters Margaret, Kathleen, Mabel, Gertrude, Muriel, Lillian and brothers Basil and Raymond. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Visiting hours Tuesday, March 15, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday at St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay, with funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be later in the parish cemetery. Donations in Hazel’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, P.E.I. Lung Association, Children’s Wish Foundation or a society of your choice. St. Peter’s Parish CWL will say prayers at the funeral home Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Due to family allergies, please refrain from wearing all scents and perfumes.
