The death of Beatrice Mae Knight of Thomas Hall, Rainsford Lane, Fredericton, occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on March 11th, 2011. Born in Fredericton, NB she was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Pearson) McMaster and wife of the late Herbert Knight. Beatrice was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and doughnuts were her specialty. She was an avid quilter having made many quilts during her life. She was a life member of the Lower Kingsclear Women's Institute. Beatrice was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Trail (Keith) of Nanaimo, BC and Barbara MacBean (John) of Hanwell, NB; one son, Robert "Bob" Knight (Joan) of Cole's Island, NB; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Herbert Knight; one son, Richard Knight; four brothers, Carl, Earl, Douglas and Edgar McMaster; one sister, Doris McMaster and two granddaughters.
There will be no visitation by request. The memorial service will be held in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 17th, 2011 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Knight, Kevin Trail, Jodi MacBean and Brent MacBean. Interment will take place at a later date in the Dunphy Cemetery. For those who wish, memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
