It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Brian John Gautier, on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late Edward and Marie (Baker) Gautier.
Before his illness, he worked several years, as a crane operator at the finishing mill at Sydney Steel and later worked as a taxi driver with City Wide.
Brian is survived by his partner and friend, Isabel ‘Bell’ MacNeil; his sons, Darin, Brian (Natasha); brothers, Larry (Valerie), Paul (Ann); sister, Rose Marie (Sandy) Stewart, and the light of his life, his two granddaughters, Irelyn and Shea-lyn. He is also survived by his extended family, Kim and Craig MacNeil; two nieces, Melanie and Bonnie; Heather Farrell, the mother of his children, Nena (Maxx) and grandson, Blayne; Sheldon (Terri Lynn), as well as his good friend, Snookey.
The family would like to thank the palliative care unit for all their help and understanding.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.
