WORKS (Harris), Edith – Northwood Manor, Halifax, formerly of Truro, passed away on Sunday evening, March 13, 2011, at the manor. Born in Pictou, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Vera (Hewett) Harris. Edith was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by her children, Claudia Geddes, Joan Charette, Lucille Waugh, Roland Works; 13 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. There will be no funeral ceremony as per her request. She will be cremated and her ashes buried with her father in Haliburton Cemetery, Pictou. If so desired, donations to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia are welcomed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro.
