A proud veteran of the British Army, serving his country in the Newfoundland Regiment during World War II. Hubert died peacefully at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital, in Bracebridge, Ont., on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Reynette (nee Pinsent). Loving father of Douglas of St. John’s, N.L., David of Bracebridge, Ont., Duncan (Cherie) of Ingersol, Ont., and Dean (Suzanne) of Huntsville, Ont. Proud grandfather of Robyn, Curtis, Aaron and Jacob. Dear brother of John of Mount Pearl, N.L., Reginald of Victoria, B.C., Audrey Campbell of St. John’s, N.L., Louise Hope of England, Horrace of Saint John, N.B. and the late Ruth Scott, Madge Sinnott and Chess Hall.
Cremation has taken place. Plans to return Hubert to his beloved Newfoundland will be carried out by his family. If desired, memorial gifts to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Reynolds Funeral Home Turner Chapel, Bracebridge, Ont.
