Anne Pearl Ward
1912-2011
Sackville - Anne Pearl Ward, age 98, of Sackville passed away peacefully on Thursday March 10, 2011, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Dorchester, she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Edith (Bowser) Ward.
Anne was employed with Henderson's Pharmacy for many years, and then Sackville Memorial Hospital before she retired. She was very active at Main Street Baptist Church as a member of the Women's Missionary Society. Anne enjoyed traveling, camping, going on bus trips and spending time with family and friends.
Anne is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Anne was the last surviving member of her family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Arthur, Raymond and Gerald; as well as a sister, Ruth.
Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300).
Family and friends were invited to visit from 1-2 p.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011, with a memorial service following at 2 p.m. Burial will take place in the Dorchester Rural Cemetery in the spring.
