Joseph Raymond Leger

1924 - 2011 - Joseph Raymond Leger, 87, of Shediac, NB, formerly of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Wednesday, March 16th 2011, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton, NB. Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Henry and the late Dorilda (née: Leger) Leger. He had retired from the CNR Engineering Department and was a veteran of WW II. He is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Roger) LeBlanc of Grande Digue; two sons: Paul of Grande-Digue and Ronald (Charlotte) of Dieppe; three sisters: Jeanette Hogart of Olds, AB, Lorraine (Robert) Camm of Ottawa and Marguerite (Guy) LeBlanc of Dieppe; one brother, Ronald of Grande Digue; seven grandchildren: Jimie, Bernard, Francois, Christine, Cindy, Marc and Michel; seven great grandchildren: Samuel, Justin, Madelaine, Alexander, Jacob, Luke and Samuel as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Zelica in 2000; one son, Jackie in 2002; two brothers: Blair “Pete” and Laurie and also by one granddaughter, Charline.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Friday from 9 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Saint-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB on Friday, March 18th, 2011 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. Donations to the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation “Oncology or Palliative Care” would be appreciated by the family.
