Norma E. Porter, 77, of Lincoln, NB passed away suddenly at her home on March 15, 2011.
She was born in Fielding NB and has lived in the Oromocto/Lincoln area since 1962.
Norma was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Leonard M. Porter in 1977 and by her sister Esther Doherty of Bath NB in 1976.
Proud to have been able to call her Mum and Nannie are her three sons and their families.
Reginald (Pat) of Moncton and their two sons and grandchildren, Scott (Megan) and son Holden and Jeffrey (Karen) and their children Ava and Jax.
Roland (Donna) of Lincoln and their children Leonard, Alicia, and Shane (Lacey).
Duane of Lincoln his daughter Kristina and step-daughter Amanda of Ottawa.
She will be sadly and forever missed by her husband Gerald Nugent. Having been together for over 25 years she also enjoyed a special bond with Gerry’s family, Linda now deceased, Mike (Theresa), Vince (Sue), Gerry (Jeanette), his daughter Sandy and his grandchildren Ryan, Kelly, Jake and Nikki.
Also sharing in our loss is her best friend and sister Claudia (Allison) Quinn of Florenceville NB and their two sons Dwight and Randy and grandson Kyle of Ontario.
As well always special to her were Esther’s children Bunny (Gary) Dingee, and Hugh Doherty and Sue Bowser the daughter of Leonard’s sister Flo.
Visitation will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, March 18th, 2011 from 1 to 3 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, March 19th, 2011 at 11:00 am with Rev. Ken Weir officiating. Reception to follow.
