Passed peacefully away on July 17th, 2009 of Logy Bay after a short illness at the L.A. Miller Centre. John Michael Murphy age 79 years. Leaving to mourn his wife of 57 years Katherine (O’Neill); sons James (Kelly), Paul (Bev), Tony (Kathy), Gary (Betty), Bernard and John (Shirley); daughters Mary (Charles) Watch, Linda, Cecilia (Paul) Molloy; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild; sisters-in-law Margaret Power, Zelda O’Neill and a very large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Sunday and Monday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009 at 10 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Church, Outer Cove. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
