BARTER, William Alexander (Bill) – Passed away at the William Osler Memorial Hospital in Brampton, Ontario on Thursday, October 16, 2008, William Alexander (Bill) Barter, aged 77 years. Predeceased by his parents William and Doris Barter; brothers: David and Douglas and sister June Skanes. Leaving to mourn in Ontario: Shirley Pitts and her daughters: Lillian, Peggy, Nicky and their extended families. Also his faithful canine companion Rebel. Leaving to mourn from Newfoundland, his children: Shelley Gill (Gordon), Glenn (Beverley), Robert (Gail), Heather (Adrian McKeever) and Geoffrey (Brenda) and their mother Una Barter. Also leaving to mourn his grandchildren: Glenda Brown (Alan), Wanda Reddin (Harry), Valerie Barter, Kristen Barter, Mark Penney, Brian Penney, Julie Gill, Laura Barter and great-grandchildren: Kirsten and Rebecca Brown and Carson Reddin; his sister Valda Morrissey; brothers: Robert (Sue) and Bruce (Alice).
