It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reginald Alister Fudge announce his passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Home in Stephenville Crossing on Friday, July 17th, 2009, at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Enos (Evelyn) of Stephenville, Basil (Audrey) of Deer Lake, Orvan (Joan) of Alberta, Lionel of Stephenville, Tony (Robin) of Deer Lake, Vida (Hugh) Porter of Port de Grave, Phyllis (David) Smith of St. John's, Cora Saunders (Howard) of Stephenville and Brenda (Roger) Sloan of Alberta; his 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Reginald was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Theresa (nee Roberts) on June 9th, 2009; his parents, Mary and Adolphus Fudge; his brothers: Albert and Warrick; sisters: Lillian, Rowena and Bride. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice in Reginald's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family will be receiving family and friends from Russell's Funeral Home, Queen Street, Stephenville, today, July 20th, 2009, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Tuesday, July 21st, 2009, the family will be receiving family and friends at the Salvation Army church in Deer Lake from the hours of 10 a.m. - 12 Noon, where also the funeral service will take place on Tuesday, July 21st, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., Majors Roy and Louise Perry and Majors Wayne and Betty Pike officiating. Burial to follow at the family plot of the cemetery at Wights Road, Deer Lake, NL. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
