Frank Weldron Kennedy
Kennedy, Frank Weldon – 75, Upper Stewiacke passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Born in Upper Stewiacke, Frank was a son of the late Earl and Minnie (Thorpe) Kennedy. Frank was a dedicated hobby farmer and always looked forward to Thursday’s cattle market day. He loved his animals and he loved his family. Surviving are his wife, Beverly (Wynn); daughters, Glenda Lorette and son Jason, Windsor, Sharon Johnston and children, Holly, Krista, Craig, and Ricky, Brookfield, Carolyn Johnston (George) and children, Nikki, Mitchell, Ethan and Marlee, Brookfield, Kathy MacDonald (Willie) and children, Corey and Tiffany, Truro Heights; special companion, Benji; brother, George, Truro; sister, Mary Mowatt, Townsview Estates, Truro; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Arthur and Roy Kennedy; sisters, Bertha, Margaret and Hazel; grandson, Matthew in infancy. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20th from 7-9 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro; memorial service on Monday, March 21st at 2:00 pm in Middle Stewiacke United Church with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Interment at a later date in Riverside Cemetery, Upper Stewiacke. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Colchester Regional Hospital or the Canadian Red Cross. The family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Henderson and the Palliative Care Team, also the Victorian Order of Nurses for their care and compassion at this time.
