GENDRON, Blanche M. (nee Power)– 1930 - 2011. Blanche M. Gendron, 80, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Pensacola, Florida. She was born in Tors Cove, Newfoundland, Canada. In 1979 she moved to Pensacola and was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jerry and sisters, Madonna Shea and Carmel Cunningham. Survivors include sisters Fran Patchak, Pensacola, Laura Hickey, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada and Barbara Pike, Mt. Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada; daughters Cynthia McCourt and husband Wally, Diane Stevens and husband Roger; son Bob Gendron; grandchildren: Charla Todaro and husband Jeremy, Jennifer McCourt, Chris McCourt, Rachel Stevens, Joel McCourt and Nicole Stevens; great-granddaughters Kaylynn McCourt, Gracie Moody and Anna Todaro; and dear friend Bernice Samples. A Mass of celebration will be 10 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with Reverend Monsignor Michael P. Mooney. Blanche will be missed by family and friends.
