Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear Hospital on Sunday, July 19, 2009, Geraldine Taylor of Cupids, in her 89th year. Born at Cupids, daughter of the late Emmie (Butler) Taylor and Albert Taylor of Cupids. Predeceased by her only brother Donald Taylor and her husband Jacob Everett Taylor. She and her late husband were engaged as fisher people from the early fifties to the mid-eighties out of Black Tickle, Labrador. Geraldine will be sadly missed by her only daughter Lenora Taylor of Cupids and her cousin retired United Church Minister, Rev. A.M. Butler of Oshawa, Ontario. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. Funeral to take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from Broughton’s Memorial Chapel, Brigus with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Cupids.
