Edmee M Girouard
Edmee M Girouard, age 95, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin on Monday, July 13, 2009. Born in Cap Pele, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Jaduse and Edith
(Donelle) Babineau. Edmee worked for 10 years at Sackville Laundry and eight years for Mount Allison University. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church in Sackville. She will be sadly missed by her sons Fred, Leominster, Mass, Laurie (Louise) Fitchburg, Mass; daughter Dorette (Raymond) Briggs, Sackville; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother Edwin Babineau, Cap Pele, N,B,; sister Stephanie Bourque, Sackville, N,B,; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Acquilla, son Ivan, brother Amedee, Philias, Damien and Arthur; sisters Clarice Nima, Loretta Duguay, Delia Gautreau, Edna Melanson, Alma Landry and, Premila Goguen. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours took place on Wednesday, July 15, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated at the St. Vincent¹s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at 11 a.m., Father Allison Carroll officiating.
