Rosemary McSweeney
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing on Saturday, March 19, 2011 of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Rosemary Frances McSweeney (nee Cash) of Summerside and formerly of Emerald, aged 76 years. Born on October 15, 1934, Rosemary was a daughter of the late John Vincent Cash and the late Mary Beatrice (Murphy) Cash. Left to mourn is her loving husband, Robbie McSweeney and their children, Teresa (Dan) Dawson, Patrick (Catherine) McSweeney, Ann (Pat) Ross, Melinda (Glen) Murray and Kenny (Dianne) McSweeney. Also survived by her 15 grandchildren Robert,Kirk and Chad Dawson; Kendra, Thomas and Maggie McSweeney; Darcy, Corey andTony Ross; Steven, Katie and Ian Murray and Kyle, Bobby and Jacob McSweeney. Also survived by her four great grandchildren, Lila and Levi Dawson, Brayden Paynter and Carter Dawson, and her sisters, Doris Moynagh of Emerald, Theresa (Alban) Smith of Calgary, Catherine Croken of Charlottetown, her long time friend Teresa Ferguson, formerly of North Granville and her many nieces andnephews. Besides her parents, Rosemary is predeceased by her brother, Fr. John Cash, a sister, Elaine Cash Rumball and brothers-in-law, Hilary Moynagh andDale Rumball. Resting at Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora. Funeral Thursday, March 24 at St. James Church, Summerfield with funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment later in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours Wednesday, March 23, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rosemary’s memory to the Diabetic Association or a charity of your choice. Members of the Catholic Women’s League will say prayers at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
