Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, of Marguerite Alexandra Howatt (nee MacDonald) of Tryon in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard Howatt. Dear mother of Richard Lea (Ethel Egberg), Tryon; Gordon (Linda), Victoria; Heather (Albert) Hickox, Fredericton, P.E.I.; Catherine (Jim) Howatt-Dickson, Summerside and son-in-law Garry Costain, Tryon. Loving grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Roddie (Shirley) MacDonald, brother-in-law Everett (Betty) Howatt and sister-in-law Ann (George) Smith. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Mary MacDonald daughter Clara Costain and brothers John and Joe MacDonald. A memorial service will be held from South Shore United Church, Tryon, on Thursday, July 23, 2009, at 2 p.m. If so desired, memorial donations to Team Diabetes would be greatly appreciated.
